Museum Boijmans van Beuningen
a house for imagination, inspiration and creativity

In Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen you go on a journey through the history of art and design. From medieval masterpieces to today’s most famous artists – and everything in between: from Bosch and Rembrandt to Dalí and Dutch design. More than 145,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings and other objects are housed in Boijmans’ depots – collected during the more than 165 years the museum has existed. Boijmans wants to do more than simply hang these works on the wall with a label next to them; the museum wants to give its visitors a much richer experience in which images, sound, information and interaction ensure a much deeper contact with the artworks.
